Problems with the Indian Software Industry

Please do not take this personally, but I have compiled a list of problems the Indian Software industry must address. Feel free to comment to get something removed or added

  1. Attrition
  2. Missing Work-Life balance

  4. Un-empowered employees

Yes, but thats more of a personal problem that is probably common to engineers across the globe.

I think the nature of the work is directly related to the quality of the employees be it in Software Quality or in Software development.

yes, agreed. With open source nobody should complain about bad work. Let me explain, you can always pick your favourite project, get permission to work on it (provided there is not conflict of interest with your organization).
